Understanding the Events Section

Closing Date 
The last day registrations will be taken for an event.

Min/Max
The minimum number of registrants needed to hold an event and the maximum number of registrants that will be taken.

Tag-a-longs
A tag-a-long is someone other than the specific grade-level girl the event is designed to serve. Please check the event descriptions to see if tag-a-longs are welcome. Be sure to inform chaperones in advance when there are no tag-a-longs allowed at the event. 

PA/CIT Opportunity
Program Aides or Counselors-In-Training needed to help at this event. Girl Scout must have completed Council Program Aide or CIT Training.

How to Register

Online using a credit/debit card for activities with a girl or adult fee register.

US Mail using Dakota Dough, check or credit card.  Submit completed Event Registration Form with payment to:

               Girl Scouts – Dakota Horizons
               1002 43rd St S
               Fargo, ND 58103
               Attn: Program Registrar

Fax – using a credit/debit card. Submit completed Event Registration Form by faxing to (701) 293-7962, Attn: Program Registrar

Registration Deadlines
Registration forms with payment must be received into Program Registrar office by the registration closing deadline.

Dakota Dough
Dakota Dough may be submitted as payment for girl fees. A paper event registration form with Dakota Dough attached must be submitted for registration processing. Online registration is not available for Dakota Dough payments.

Event Scholarships
Girls may be eligible for scholarships. Parent or caregiver must complete the Event Scholarship Application. Scholarships cannot be applied to online registrations.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m a new user of online registration for events, how do I create an online account?

An adult 18 years or older must create an account to manage her/his and any family members’ activity registration.

How to Search & Register Online for Event Activities

View event activity opportunities from the Event List or Event Calendar

From the Event List or Event Calendar, click on the event title to learn more.

Select Register Now within the event posting to be re-directed to online registration for your event. Please note, some events are not available for online registration. For these events, information on how to register will be available through the online registration posting.

I forgot my password for online event registration.
  1. Reset your password by clicking the Password? on this page.
  2. Fill in your username and the email address you used to create the account.
  3. Click Reset Password.
  4. Answer your security question*
  5. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password.  Follow the link to create a new password.  Once you have finished you will be logged into the system.  

If you do not receive the email, check your junk/spam mail box and then contact Member Services to verify your email address on file.

*If you do not know the answer, please contact Member Services for assistance.

I forgot my username for online event registration.
  1. Recall your Username by clicking the Username? on this page.
  2. Fill in your first name, last name and the email address you used to create the account.
  3. Click Retrieve Username.
  4. You will receive an email with your Username information.

If you do not receive the email, check your junk/spam mail box and then contact Member Services to verify your email address on file.

Can I register my family members from my account?

Yes, one person per family will be designated as a primary household contact. This role will be able to register existing household members from the eBiz online event registration site. 

To add new family members to your eBiz online event registration account, you will first need to add them in your MyGS account. My GS/Member Profile/Membership tab.

An overnight process will occur to add your new members to the Event Registration system.

After this synchronization process overnight, you are ready to add new family members to your online event registration account:

  1. Click Event Registration in the menu at the top of this page.
  2. Log into your online account.
  3. Select the MY FAMILY tab.
  4. Select Add a Family Member on the right hand side and complete the required fields.
How does a Troop Leader register troop members?

Adults who are approved Troop Co-Leaders for a Girl Scout troop(s) have access to the My Troops tab within her/his online event registration user account. To learn more, visit the Quick Guide to Online Registration: Access to Troop Management

My Girl Scout is from another council, can she attend Dakota Horizons events?

Yes, Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons welcomes Girl Scout members from other councils to join in our program events and camps. We have Cookie Credit reciprocity with many sister councils. We are unable to offer any financial assistance to members coming from other councils to attend our events and camps, or to non-members.

How to register:

US Mail using check, credit card, money order or Cookie Credits. (Cookie credits valid on girl fees only.) 

Submit completed Event Registration Form with payment to:

               Girl Scouts – Dakota Horizons

               Fargo, ND 58103
               Attn: Program Registrar

Fax – using a credit/debit card.

Submit completed Event Registration Form by faxing to (701) 293-7962, Attn: Program Registrar

Registration with payment must be received into Program Registrar’s office on or before the registration deadline.

Upon processing an email confirming your registration will be sent to the adult contact email noted on the registration form and any additional registrant email addresses noted on the form.

Following the registration deadline, and, approximately 10 days prior to the session date, a final confirmation email with program details will be sent. 

Are activity fees refundable?

In some cases, refunds are available.  Please review the Event Cancellations and refunds section of our registration procedures.
