At Girl Scouts, we practice everyday leadership, prepare girls to empower themselves, and create G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader) experiences. Join Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons for the 3rd year as we participate in the annual 24 hour event: Giving Hearts Day!
Giving Hearts Day is in its 10th year and is sponsored by Dakota Medical Foundation, Impact Foundation and Alex Stern Family Foundation. Very similar to Giving Tuesday in November, Giving Hearts Day will take place February 8, 2018 throughout all of North Dakota and a few counties in Minnesota.
This day of giving has become very well-known as more and more organizations are joining the movement!
What: Giving Hearts Day
When: February 8, 2018
Where: Comfort of your computer or smart phone. All gifts are made online.
How: Go to givingheartsday.org and click on Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons or just click on the donate button below.
What is Giving Hearts Day: Impact Foundation and Dakota Medical Foundation began Giving Hearts Day to benefit all charities throughout the state and surrounding area. To make giving easy for you! All gifts will go through them and will be matched up to $4,000 and can earn Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons a chance to earn awards throughout the day! GSDH will be notified all day of incoming donations. After the fun, Impact Foundation will transfer, as requested, donations directly to our council!
Why: Being a Girl Scout is about self-empowerment not just girl power! We prepare girls with skills and experiences they need to empower themselves to become go-getters, innovators, risk takers and leaders in their communities. Without your support, we are unable to continue these practices for Girl Scouts.
