Girl Scout Isabel Carda has been selected to receive the 2025 Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) Gold Award Scholarship in the amount of $5,000.
The GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship recognizes one outstanding Gold Award Girl Scout per council. Isabel was selected because her project exemplifies the core components of the Gold Award, and she demonstrated extraordinary leadership to drive lasting change in her community and beyond.
"Your outstanding Gold Award project, 'Car Care Basics for Teen Girls,' demonstrates measurable and sustainable impact and addresses an issue of national significance, proving that Girl Scouts of courage, confidence, and character truly do make the world a better place. Your accomplishment will endure for generations to come and serve as a powerful example of Girl Scouting in action," stated Bonnie Barczykowski, GSUSA CEO.
