Celebrating Girl Scouts at Cookies, Corks & Brews
Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons hosted our signature fundraising event this week in Rapid City, and what a fantastic night it was. Community members and positive energy filled the room during our Cookies, Corks & Brews event.
From scrumptious desserts to tangy drinks, those in attendance did not go hungry. We paired six local chefs with an iconic Girl Scout Cookie and challenged them to create an original dessert inspired by their cookie flavors. Guests tried bite-sized samples before a full-sized dessert was auctioned off during the program.
Our local chefs were:
- Chef Trudy Knapp with Alpine Inn
- Chef Alex Gannon at Alternative Fuel Coffee House
- Chef Ben Venables and Chef Jacob Whealy from Gold Bison Grill
- Chef Rachelle Steinback at Pistachio Pie
- Chef Brenden and Erica Berger from Star Spangled Batter
- Chef Jacob Foiland and Chef Devyn Killion at The Bestro
Guests also had the chance to try local craft beer and wine varietals that were paired with Girl Scout Cookies. Thank you to Spearfish Brewing and Firehouse Wine Cellars for supplying those.
