Did you know Girl Scouts are credited with inventing the s’more? The recipe first appeared in the 1927 Girl Scout publication Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts, making the gooey treat a part of Girl Scout history for nearly 100 years!
So, when National S’mores Day rolled around, our Sioux Falls Service Center team had the perfect excuse to enjoy a little Girl Scout history of their own. Team members gathered in our Friendship Room over lunch to make s’mores, enjoying plenty of chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers along with some time together.
We may not have been around a campfire, but there were still plenty of smiles and sweet memories!
