Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons congratulates Mei Lin O'Connell of Rapid City, SD for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award to be achieved in Girl Scouts.
Mei Lin earned her Gold Award with her Charm Farm Shelters Project. Mei Lin worked with Charm Farm to create a safe space for animals to stay during bad weather. After 80 hours over a three-month period, she completed her planning and installation of a large shelter for the animals at Charm Farm. The structure will be able to shelter animals for years to come.
