Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons hosted Girl Scout Gourmet in East Grand Forks, bringing together a small but mighty group of supporters, volunteers, and alum for an evening centered on connection, storytelling, and impact.
Hosted at Bernie's, the event featured a thoughtfully curated dining experience that highlighted the four Girl Scout pillars: Outdoors, Life Skills, STEM, and Entrepreneurship.
A special highlight of the evening was a visit from Celebrity Chef Molly Yeh, who spoke with guests and shared her own perspective, adding a unique and memorable touch to the night. Molly is the host of the Food Network's Girl Meets Farm show.
With just over a dozen attendees, the event created a warm and intimate atmosphere where meaningful conversations could flourish. Among those in attendance was a former Gold Award Girl Scout, who now serves as a professor at the University of North Dakota, a powerful example of the lasting impact of Girl Scouts.
The room was also filled with dedicated volunteers whose passion and commitment help make Girl Scouting possible for girls across our region.
Girl Scout Gourmet is designed to connect community members more deeply to the Girl Scout mission through shared experiences, storytelling, and, of course, great food. This event set the stage for what’s to come, proving that even a small gathering can create a meaningful and lasting impact.
We are deeply grateful to Chef Molly Yeh, the team at Bernie’s, and all who joined us for this special evening. We look forward to continuing to grow this experience in the future.
