These honorees exemplify the spirit of service that drives the Girl Scout Mission forward, each making a meaningful impact on girls, families, and communities around the Rapid City area.
Nikolena was recognized for her leadership as a Counselor-in-Training. She volunteers her time at camps, service unit events, and recruitment activities, always ready to step in where needed. Through mentoring younger Girl Scouts and sharing her story as part of the Girl Media Team, she inspires others to discover the value of Girl Scouts.
Brianna (not pictured) was celebrated for her incredible dedication as a volunteer and troop leader. New to the area, she has quickly become an active and engaged member of the Girl Scout community. While balancing her role as an educator, raising four children, and navigating personal challenges, she continues to show up with resilience and commitment, inspiring those around her.
Lucas, Service Unit Manager for Ellsworth, was recognized for his leadership and vision. He plays a key role in recruitment, troop formation, mentoring, and placement, while also building strong community partnerships. From organizing events like Trunk-or-Treat to coordinating experiences with the Rapid City Rush, his efforts create meaningful opportunities for girls and families.
The South Dakota School of Mines Football Team was honored for its continued partnership and hands-on support. From assisting during the Cookie Program and volunteering at Cookie University to helping at events and around the Girl Scout building, their teamwork and willingness to serve provide valuable support and strengthen community connections.
Together, these volunteers demonstrate the power of service, leadership, and community. Their passion and dedication make a lasting difference, and we are proud to celebrate their contributions.
