Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons had the privilege of honoring several outstanding volunteers at the Spirit of Volunteerism Ceremony in Sioux Falls, SD, hosted by the Helpline Center.
These individuals and groups represent the very best of Girl Scouts, giving their time, talents, and passion to ensure girls in the Sioux Falls region have access to meaningful experiences, supportive mentorship, and opportunities to grow.
Among those recognized was Girl Scout Ava, whose enthusiasm and leadership shine both within her troop and beyond. In addition to being an active participant, Ava regularly supports younger girls at events, serving as a positive role model and leader they can look up to.
Byron was honored for his commitment to his large multi-level troop. His energy and leadership create an engaging and supportive environment where girls can thrive.
Samantha (not pictured) was recognized for her reliability and dedication to her troop community. Her behind-the-scenes efforts help create a welcoming and positive experience for families, strengthening connections and ensuring girls have a consistent, supportive space to grow.
The Green Angels, a longtime group of Girl Scout supporters, were also celebrated for their continued service. Their generosity is felt across the council as they volunteer at events and share their skills by leading programs, including sewing, for Girl Scouts.
Together, these volunteers embody the spirit of service that drives the Girl Scout mission forward. Their passion, dedication, and impact inspire us every day, and we are proud to see their contributions recognized in our community.
To all of our volunteers, thank you. You are the foundation of Girl Scouts, and we simply could not do this work without you.
