Troop 10240 Takes Flight at Flight Camp
For Girl Scout Troop 10240, Flight Camp in Minot was an experience that truly took them to new heights!
The girls got a behind-the-scenes look at aviation while exploring the science of flight and learning what it takes to become a pilot. They were guided around the flight field by a female pilot, who showed them inside smaller aircraft and shared what it is like to fly.
The girls also toured the Minot Airport, where they learned more about how an airport operates and the many people who help keep things running. For Troop 10240, seeing women in aviation leadership roles made the experience even more meaningful.
“It was a real girl power experience,” shared troop co-leader Courtney.
From exploring airplanes up close to discovering the science behind flight, Flight Camp gave the girls a chance to ask questions, try something new, and imagine themselves in possibilities they may not have considered before.
For Troop 10240, the experience was about more than airplanes. It was about seeing what is possible when girls are given the opportunity to explore, learn, and soar.
