Junior Troop 50653 from Watertown, SD, spent a beautiful fall day at Joy Ranch, working toward their Horseback Riding Badge. All ten girls were excited to learn from Joy Ranch Horse Wrangler Morgan, who guided them through the basics of horse behavior, safety, grooming, and preparing for a ride.
Throughout the day, the girls practiced their riding skills, learned how to care for their horses, and discovered what it takes to be confident and responsible riders. The experience culminated in a guided ride around the ranch, giving each Girl Scout a chance to put her new skills into action.
It was a day full of learning, teamwork, and fun. Troop 50653 left Joy Ranch proud of their accomplishments and with new memories, friendships, and of course, their Horseback Riding Badges.
