Troop 30455 stepped into leadership this summer as Counselors in Training (CITs) at the popular Zootropolis Camp in Dent, MN. Inspired by the animal-filled city, campers spent a few days exploring diverse species, habitats, and behaviors—while also sharpening their archery skills, setting off on water adventures, and immersing themselves in nature.
As CITs, Troop 30455 played an important role in guiding younger Girl Scouts through fun activities, especially hands-on crafts. One highlight of the week was a special visit from a Fargo police officer and her K-9 partner, Toby. The campers—and their CIT leaders—learned what it means to be a working service dog, from the important rules to follow while they’re on duty to how they relax and recharge during off time.
With every craft, conversation, and camp adventure, Troop 30455 modeled leadership, responsibility, and the spirit of Girl Scouts—making Zootropolis an unforgettable experience for all.
