Camp Woodlands in Huron, SD, received some much-needed care thanks to nine volunteers from Huron Eye Clinic who gave their time during United Way Day of Caring.
Working alongside Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons team member Mike Neeman, the volunteers tackled a variety of projects across the camp’s 20 acres. The group cleared deadfall from the property, deep-cleaned and organized the lodge, and made significant improvements to other camp facilities.
Their hard work helps keep Camp Woodlands a welcoming and functional space where Girl Scouts can gather, explore the outdoors, build new skills, and make memories.
We are grateful to the Huron Eye Clinic team for spending their day giving back and helping make Camp Woodlands an even better place for Girl Scouts!
