Giving Hearts Day
When you support Girl Scouts, you invest in more than a program, you help girls build a toolkit for life. Through hands-on experiences in STEM, outdoor adventure, entrepreneurship, and community service, girls develop real-world skills that prepare them for whatever path they choose.
Every badge earned, challenge overcome, and new experience embraced becomes another powerful tool to equip girls with confidence, resilience, and leadership to adapt, thrive, and become the person she is meant to be.
Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour fundraising event for nonprofits in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. Since the first event in 2008, generous donors have given more than $226 million, 100% of which goes directly to participating nonprofits, like Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons.
All gifts will go through them and will give Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons a chance to earn awards throughout the day! GSDH will be notified all day of incoming donations.
Why: Being a Girl Scout is about self-empowerment, not just girl power! We prepare girls with skills and experiences they need to empower themselves to become go-getters, innovators, risk takers and leaders in their communities. Girl Scouts need a champion. They need a community willing to invest in their dreams. They need a network of supporters cheering them on and showing them what's possible.
