As part of Girl Scouts, girls gain a critical space to discover their own abilities—and the results are astounding. Girl Scouts are more likely to consider themselves leaders compared to other girls and boys.
When you donate to Girl Scouts, every dollar you give powers a girl’s journey as she strives to lead, thrive, and make the world a better place. Beyond professional achievement, Girl Scout alums are also more likely to take civic action, volunteer in their communities, and stand up for their beliefs and values.
This day of giving has become very well-known as more and more organizations are joining the movement!
Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour fundraising event for charities in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. Since the first event in 2008, generous donors have given more than $138-million, 100% of which goes directly to participating charities.
All gifts will go through them and will give Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons a chance to earn awards throughout the day! GSDH will be notified all day of incoming donations.
Why: Being a Girl Scout is about self-empowerment, not just girl power! We prepare girls with skills and experiences they need to empower themselves to become go-getters, innovators, risk takers and leaders in their communities. Girl Scouts need a champion. They need a community willing to invest in their dreams. They need a network of supporters cheering them on and showing them what's possible.
