Cookie University is a one-day event to help Girl Scouts learn the essentials for selling and marketing Girl Scout cookies in a university-style way. The event provides a hands-on experience where participants get to do activities and take part in fun learning sessions. It helps girls build confidence, communication, and entrepreneurial skills by teaching Girl Scouts all about selling, marketing, and promoting cookies.
During this event, Girl Scouts are taught strategies for interacting with customers, including how to pitch their cookies, see target audiences, and change their approach based on different people. Girls also learn important sales skills like creating a great customer experience and handling rejection. These activities also show off how to set business goals, track progress, and work with other girls to achieve and meet those goals.
As well as sales techniques, Cookie University has lessons on the importance of goal-setting, decision-making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. Participants learn how to set goals for their cookie sales and determine ways to reach their goals. By the end of the day, girls are ready for the cookie program.
With a combination of hands-on learning and fun, Cookie University provides a hands-on and educational experience that prepares Girl Scouts to take their cookie-selling to a new level.
