Troop 80126 spent an afternoon making bee houses while earning the 'House That She Built' patch. The group from Bismarck was able to build 42 bee houses! These new houses will provide a habitat for thousands of bees. Each girl got to take one home and the rest were donated to Pheasants Forever, an organization focused on the conservation of pheasants, quail, and other wildlife.
Thanks to all the organizations that helped put on this event. The girls had five volunteers from Professional Women Builders of Bismarck there to guide them during the troop activity. Lowe's hosted the group in their Garden Center and North Dakota Game and Fish Department donated a $350 grant toward the event.
