Woodworking gives you a feeling of accomplishment and a boost in confidence. Troop 40703 earned their Woodworker badge by building stools to take camping. Girls must know how to use basic tools to create simple woodworking projects to earn the badge. Troop Co-Leader Tanya R. shared this about their badge-earning experience.
"The girls in our troop love to go camping! For our Woodworker badge, we learned about safety and made a camping stool. We measured our wood, cut it with a miter saw, sanded it with a power sander, and drilled holes for bolts. We assembled it using wrenches, sockets, nails, hammers, and staples. The girls had a great time and enjoyed using power tools!!" Tanya said.
