This past weekend, Dakota Horizons was thrilled to participate in the STEM Expo, a community event hosted in Bismarck, dedicated to inspiring curiosity and innovation in science, technology, engineering, and math.
At our booth, attendees of all ages had the opportunity to take part in an interactive robotics activity. Participants were challenged to code a robot to push a ball through flag posts — essentially “scoring a goal.” The hands-on experience sparked creativity and problem-solving as kids (and adults!) experimented with different strategies to maneuver the robot effectively.
"It was fun watching kids figure out how to get the robot to turn and push the ball, but also learning how to get the robot to do tricks," said Brittany Larghe, GSDH Member Engagement Manager.
Events like the STEM Expo are a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community and share our passion for STEM learning. We are grateful to MDU Resources, Larks Bismarck, and Gateway to Science for organizing such a well-run and inspiring event.
