In a heartwarming show of community spirit, Girl Scouts from Troop 10299, from Mercer Co., ND, made a significant contribution to a local animal rescue organization. The troop visited their local Tractor Supply Company to purchase some much-needed supplies for the shelter.
The rescue had been facing shortages in food, kitty litter, treats, beds, and toys. That's when the Girl Scouts decided to step up and help. Using funds earned through the Girl Scout Cookie Program, the troop was able to purchase about $1,400 worth of supplies.
That same evening, the troop delivered the full shopping list of items to the shelter, helping to replenish their stock and provide a little comfort to the animals in need. Their generous donation serves as a wonderful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big impact in the community.
