Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons congratulates Alyssa Hertz of Jamestown, ND for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award to be achieved in Girl Scouts.
Alyssa earned her Gold Award by completing her Gear Up for Robotics Project. She hosted a day-long event for this project to introduce children in grades 4-8 to robotics. By introducing robotics to younger kids, Alyssa hopes to spark an interest and generate more STEM for the future workforce.
Her accomplishments reflect leadership, citizenship, and foundational skills built through Girl Scouts.
Alyssa will receive her award at the council’s Honoring Excellence recognition event to be held on June 9, 2024.
