Girl Scout Arabella A. stopped by Studio 701 in Bismarck to share details about the Cookie Program with hosts Amber Schatz and Michael Cartwright.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program kicks off in-person sales on February 17 and will run until March 20. If someone is looking to order cookies to be shipped directly to their house, that will become available Feb. 27.
Host Amber asks, "when you're talking with potential customers, do they ask for your opinion or do they always know exactly what they want?"
"That happens sometimes, a lot of people usually order our most popular ones or they say, I like peanut butter, what do you think I should have? It differs from person to person, but mostly they know what they want." Arabella answered.
"A lot of good work goes into selling cookies, in addition to just getting to eat the deliciousness, the Heroes on the Horizon cookie donation program gives cookies to local heroes and their families, military organizations, first responders, and others in need. What is that like for you to get to experience?" Amber asked.
"I feel really happy when I do it and they've done so much and I feel like they deserve a treat," said Arabella.
"Now, how long have you been involved in Girl Scouts and what first got you involved?" Amber asked.
"I guess I was just really interested in all the activities, I really wanted to do cookie selling, and get to go to a bunch of camps and stuff. I've been doing Girl Scouts for four years now, and I love it," Arabella said.
