Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons congratulates Susanna Francetich of Bismarck, ND for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award to be achieved in Girl Scouts.
Susanna earned her Gold Award with her project – Patriot Period Pantry. For this project, Susanna set up a donation registry to gather menstruation supplies. After coordinating and collecting these supplies, she distributed them to local schools. The donation registries will stay open for years, so her project will continue to impact girls well into the future.
Her accomplishments reflect leadership, citizenship, and foundational skills built through Girl Scouts. “It has helped me develop tons of life skills and has been a way to adopt important character skills,” Susanna said.
Susanna is a senior at Century High School with plans to attend Bismarck State College. She will receive her award at the council’s Honoring Excellence recognition event on June 9, 2024.
