Two Junior troops wanted to spend some time outside during their last troop meeting, so they tried their hand at geocaching. Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use GPS devices or mobile phones to hide and seek containers, called 'geocaches' or 'caches,' at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. Once found, a cache may provide the finder with a wide variety of rewards.
There were a couple of caches within walking distance of the Bismarck Service Center the troop discovered. Troop Co-Leader Nicole said it was the first time some of the girls had done geocaching and it was fun to watch them learn all the little secrets hiding about.
