Upcoming Volunteer Events: Exploring the Upside Down
Strange things are happening… and it’s all about celebrating our
amazing volunteers! Step into Exploring the Upside Down, a fun and
interactive event where you will connect with fellow Girl Scout
volunteers through hands-on activities, laughter, and conversation as
we flip the script on problem-solving and share what makes
volunteering meaningful, even when things feel a little upside
down.
Come ready to have fun, make connections, and leave
inspired to see service in a whole new way—Girl Scout style!
Fargo, ND | Sunday, August 16 | Register by August 3.
Rapid City, SD | September 26 | Register by September 14.
S'more Fun Outdoor Skills Patch Program for Volunteers
Explore the outdoors with your Girl Scouts and earn the S’more Fun Outdoor Skills Patch! This program is designed for volunteers of all experience levels to guide you through the Girl Scout Outdoor Progression, helping you and your girls build confidence, learn essential outdoor skills, and develop a love for nature.
Complete the steps with your girls to earn the main patch, then continue the adventure by adding logs to your fire for even more outdoor fun!
Safety Activity Checkpoints
The physical safety and well-being of Girl Scouts is one of our top priorities.
The Safety Activity Checkpoints manual outlines the Safety Standards and Guidelines for all Girl Scout activities and applies to every outing, event, and experience.
Please review the Safety Activity Checkpoints when planning activities with girls to ensure all adventures are safe, age-appropriate, and fun!
Service Unit Reminders
Just a quick heads-up that the following items were due June 15—if you haven’t submitted yet, please do so as soon as possible:
Note: Council team members use the election results to update Service Unit Leadership roles, so it’s important to get yours in!

Product Program Updates
Rewards Distribution
Cookie Managers have received rewards and should have reached out to Troop Leaders, who then reach out to families to schedule pickup. We have submitted missing and damaged rewards to the various vendors for replacement. They should be shipping soon to the Cookie Managers.
If you haven't heard anything from your Cookie Manager yet, please take action promptly so girls can receive their rewards and celebrate their hard work!
Girl Scouts Online Rewards Voting
While you may still be handing out this year's rewards, we're already planning for the next cookie season, but we need your help! The Reward Voting survey from Little Brownie Baker is open now. Please have your Girl Scouts complete the survey to share their opinions about next year's rewards. The survey will be open until July 10.
Dakota Dough
Dakota Dough earned from the 2026 Cookie Program has been distributed to troops from Service Unit Cookie Managers. Please be sure to give the Dakota Dough to the girls in your troop right away!
How can girls use Dakota Dough?
- Purchase items in GSDH or GSUSA retail stores
- Girl membership renewals
- Council or Service Unit event or camp registrations
- Purchase items in the Dakota Dough Depot through August 31, 2025

Juliette’s Boutique Inventory Closure Notice
Juliette’s Boutique will be closed for inventory from July 6–17.
During this time, we will not be processing or shipping orders. All orders placed during the closure will ship the week of July 20 once the store reopens.
