At Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons, safety is always a top priority, and that commitment is strengthened by team members who are trained and ready to respond in any situation.
Recently, nine additional team members completed their Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED blended learning course through the American Red Cross, joining many others across our organization who are already certified.
This hands-on training equipped participants with the knowledge and confidence to respond to a wide range of real-life emergencies involving adults, children, and infants.
The course combined interactive online simulations with an in-person skills session, allowing the team to practice life-saving techniques in a supportive, instructor-led environment. From recognizing the signs of cardiac arrest to responding to breathing emergencies and administering first aid, each participant gained valuable, practical experience.
Even more special, the course was led by dedicated Girl Scout volunteer who is a certified American Red Cross instructor, highlighting the strength and expertise within our own community.
Because of this continued investment in training, our team is well-prepared to create safe, supportive spaces where Girl Scouts can learn, grow, and thrive.
