All details will be added to the Volunteer Essentials webpage on April 1.
Some restrictions may apply. Offer only available for the first 50 girls.
Mark your calendars for our next Girl Scout Town Hall. Join Stacy Stahl and the Mission Delivery team as they share updates on membership, a recap of the cookie program, spring renewal incentives, and a camp preview. A registration link will be available soon on our Event List webpage.
The 2025 Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons Annual Meeting is on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Each service unit should elect Delegates to represent them. It’s no secret—Girl Scouts wouldn’t be possible without you, our incredible troop leaders! You inspire Girl Scouts to dream big, empowering them to become changemakers, trailblazers, and explorers. You’re their role model, and that is no small job!
Keep an eye out for fun social media giveaways and a special gift arriving in the mail as a token of our appreciation.
Thank you for all that you do—you make Girl Scouts amazing! 💚✨

Explore the outdoors with your Girl Scouts and earn the S’more Fun Outdoor Skills Patch! This program is designed for volunteers of all experience levels to guide you through the Girl Scout Outdoor Progression, helping you and your girls build confidence, learn essential outdoor skills, and develop a love for nature.
Complete the steps with your girls to earn the main patch, then continue the adventure by adding logs to your fire for even more outdoor fun!
To thank our volunteers for their dedication we are pleased to provide Volunteer Years of Service Pins to those who have been serving for 5 or more years. If you have been a volunteer for 5 or more years you can now request your pin and we will mail it directly to you.
It’s time to reflect on the troop’s accomplishments from the year and start planning for the next year! Use the Spring Troop Management Guide to wrap up the school year and be ready for Back to Troop in the fall.
Are your girls bridging to a new level this year? Check out the Bridging Guide for everything you need to know about awards and planning a ceremony! Bridging Kits with the bridge award, certificate, membership star, fun patch, and pencil are available through the GSUSA Online or GSDH Retail Stores.
Planning to participate in a parade with your service unit? Check out our NEW parade supplies. You can reserve items like a Girl Scout banner, stickers, or bookmarks on our Equipment Depot.
Service units are led by dedicated volunteers who work alongside council staff to build a strong Girl Scout community. Each spring, service units hold elections to select their leadership team for the upcoming membership year.
All volunteers are encouraged to express interest in a service unit position, provided they meet the guidelines outlined in the volunteer position description.
Ready to make a difference? Contact your service unit to get involved!
Reminder: Service Unit Election Results are due by June 15.
