It’s the time we’ve all been waiting for… the Girl Scout Cookie Program starts tomorrow! This year, in-person and online sales all start the same day – February 9.
Make sure you’re ready for a smooth start by updating your Digital Cookie appson your smartphone. This will help you avoid downtime once your Girl Scout starts selling.
Digital Cookie Mobile App (Instructions)
- Electronic Payment Types—Digital Cookie supports payment options like Venmo and PayPal in addition to credit card payments, allowing customers a seamless checkout process.
- NEW - You can now use cash as a payment option for cookie in-hand orders at cookie booths. (Instructions)
- Collecting Customer Information—If the customer chooses to pay with a credit card, the member will enter the credit card information or use the scan feature to enter the card number. Contact details are now optional, but helpful if there is an issue with payment.
Here's a few other quick reminders:
- Families are financially responsible for the cookies that are ordered, signed for and received. Only take the number of cookies you are comfortable with, regardless of the council recommendation or troop goal.
- Digital Cookie storefront links should never be posted to online resale sites like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc.
- Let your Girl Scout’s creativity shine with our Bling Your Booth contest. All the details can be found on the Cookie Resources page of our website.
- Use the Social Media Toolkit to help your Girl Scout promote her online business.
