It’s the time we’ve all been waiting for… the Girl Scout Cookie Program! This year, the program starts on February 9th. Make sure you’re ready for a smooth start by updating your eBudde and Digital Cookie apps on your smartphone. This will help you avoid downtime once your Girl Scout starts selling.

Want to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program even if your troop isn’t? Girl Scouts can participate individually as a Juliette and run their own cookie business with support from a Service Unit Cookie Manager. It’s a great way to build confidence, set goals, and practice real-world entrepreneurial skills.
If you’re interested, fill out the intent form to get started. Once submitted, we’ll connect you with your Service Unit Cookie Manager and share helpful resources to guide you through the cookie season.
Have questions about the fall product program or cookie program? Join us for open office hours with the Dakota Horizons team! Whether you’re a troop leader, caregiver, or service unit member, we’re here to answer your questions to help you get started and support you along the way. The next office hours will be held on February 15 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. CST.

We are excited to host the 2026 Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons' Annual Meeting virtually. The President of the Board of Directors facilitates the annual meeting, during which delegates elect the Board of Directors and the Board Development Committee.
Recommended revisions to the bylaws and Articles of Incorporation are also presented for a vote. All members are welcome to attend the Annual Meeting; however, only delegates may vote.
When delegates register to attend the Annual Meeting by February 13, 2026, they will be entered into a drawing to win Beats Solo Earbuds (4 winners) or an Apple iPad (2 winners).
Drawing will take place during the Annual Meeting. Adult or Girl delegates elected by their Service Units are eligible and must be present to win.
Join our Chief Mission Delivery Officer and members of the Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons team on Thursday, March 12, at 7:00 PM CT / 6:00 PM MT for our next virtual Town Hall.
We’ll share updates and discuss topics including Cookie University, camp information, Spring Renewal and Extended Year Membership, Cookie Program progress, and more.
Girl Scouts Unite will take place Thursday, July 23 - Saturday, July 25, 2026. While GSDH is not offering a council-sponsored group trip, we continue to support members who plan to attend independently.
Our team can share event information, assist with registration, and we have a limited number of hotel rooms reserved for July 22–26 to help with planning.
To learn more about the event, visit the GSUSA Girl Scouts Unite page. If you would like updates from GSDH or support as you prepare, please complete our Girl Scouts Unite information request form.
Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour celebration of generosity that supports nonprofits across our region, including Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons. Volunteers can help make this day a success by sharing our social media posts, spreading the word with friends and family, and celebrating the impact Girl Scouts have in their communities. Every share, conversation, and act of support helps girls explore, learn, and grow. Check out our page on the Giving Hearts Day website.
Karen Rieck is no longer with Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons as our Member Engagement Manager for the Sioux Falls area. Questions related to her role can be directed to Mellisa Mesowski, Director of Community and Member Engagement, at MMesowski@gsdakotahorizons.org.
Our Member Services team is also happy to help. You can reach them at help@gsdakotahorizons.org or by phone at 800-666-2141.
