Troop 20013 from Hoople, ND, recently held a special investiture and rededication ceremony to welcome new Girl Scouts and celebrate their returning member.
Three Daisies and one Brownie officially joined the troop through meaningful traditions. The Daisies began their journey as "seeds," sprinkled with Girl Scout thoughts, stretching and growing into full-fledged Daisies. Their mothers then had the honor of pinning the World Association Pin and Daisy Pin onto their uniforms.
The Brownie took part in the magical Brownie story, where she gazed into a reflective pond and transformed into a Brownie. Her World Association Pin and Brownie Pin were placed on her uniform, with the Brownie Pin turned upside down until she completes three good deeds.
The Ambassador Girl Scout marked her continued commitment with a rededication ceremony, lighting 11 candles, then blowing them out and relighting them—symbolizing the ongoing journey of leadership and service in Girl Scouts.
Following the ceremonies, girls received their awards, fun patches, and badges earned so far.
Congratulations to all these Girl Scouts on this meaningful milestone!
Investiture and Rededication Ceremonies
An investiture ceremony welcomes new Girl Scouts into our sisterhood, while a rededication ceremony allows returning members to renew their commitment to the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Both traditions serve as a reminder of the values and legacy of Girl Scouting, empowering girls to grow, lead, and make the world a better place.
