On a recent visit to Pierre, team members Mia and Bailey participated in the SoDak SACA After-School Day at the Capitol, where they connected with visitors and legislators about the incredible work Girl Scouts is doing to empower young girls across South Dakota.
During the event, they highlighted the importance of leadership programs like Girl Scouts, which provide girls with the skills and confidence they need to become the leaders of tomorrow. Of course, they also shared some delicious Girl Scout cookie samples with attendees—a sweet way to bring people together and spread the message of the Girl Scout Mission!
“We’re proud to be part of an organization that is shaping the future of young girls and helping them grow into strong, confident leaders,” said Bailey. “Being able to speak directly with lawmakers and visitors about the impact Girl Scouts has on our community was a truly rewarding experience.”
A special thank you goes to the South Dakota School Age Care Alliance for inviting the Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons team to this important event. The partnership is a reminder of how much can be accomplished when organizations work together to invest in the future of our next generation.
Through events like these, Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons continues to be at the forefront of creating positive change and empowering girls to reach their fullest potential.
Together, we’re not just shaping the future—we’re creating it.
