Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons recently hosted a two-day Leadership Team meeting in Sioux Falls, bringing together directors and senior staff from across the council. With several team members traveling to join in person, the gathering provided a valuable opportunity to connect, collaborate, and look ahead.
Throughout the two days, the team focused on strengths-based leadership, using CliftonStrengths as a framework to better understand individual talents and how they contribute to collective success. These conversations helped deepen self-awareness while strengthening how the team works together to support girls and volunteers across the council.
In addition to leadership development, the group spent time discussing the future and envisioning where Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons is headed in the coming years. Through brainstorming sessions and shared ideas, the team explored new opportunities for growth and impact.
While virtual meetings keep us connected, there is something powerful about being together in the same space. Face-to-face time allowed for stronger relationship building, richer conversations, and a renewed sense of alignment.
As the meeting concluded, one thing was clear: the passion, dedication, and shared vision of this team continue to drive Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons forward. The work ahead is exciting, and the foundation built during these two days will help guide the path forward.
